GeoSolutions at FOSS4G North America 2026 in Sacramento

From November 2 to 4, 2026, GeoSolutions will be at FOSS4G North America 2026 in Sacramento, California, at the Sheraton Grand Sacramento. Simone Giannecchini and Andrea Aime will be there for the whole conference, from Monday to Wednesday. You will find them at our table in the exhibit area, where GeoSolutions is present as a Bronze sponsor, and in the session rooms for our four talks. This year we bring four talks, all in the Technical track and all presented by Simone and Andrea. Times are Pacific Time. The schedule can still change, so please check the official schedule before you go.
- AI-dministering GeoServer and MapStore, Tuesday, November 3, 2026 at 10:30 AM. An early look at the Model Context Protocol servers we are building for GeoServer and MapStore. They let today’s AI assistants help with real administration tasks, such as publishing layers, tuning caches and diagnosing issues, with guardrails to keep production deployments safe.
- State of GeoServer, Tuesday, November 3, 2026 at 11:00 AM. New features, community updates and recent developments of GeoServer, for expert users, developers and anyone curious about what GeoServer can do for them.
- GeoServer VS GeoServer: fight!, Wednesday, November 4, 2026 at 2:00 PM. GeoServer benchmarked against itself. Each experiment measures the real performance cost of a common operator decision: data formats, security, logging, CRS handling, JVM settings and scaling.
- Precision farming with GeoServer: lessons learned and future directions, Wednesday, November 4, 2026 at 3:30 PM. Ten years of experience ingesting, managing and disseminating drone, Earth observation and agricultural machinery data at scale for the precision farming industry, with GeoServer deployed in the cloud.

FOSS4G North America is the North American edition of FOSS4G, the conference for free and open source software for geospatial. The theme of this year’s edition is “Resilience and Innovation”.
