GeoSolutions at geOcom 2024
Dear Reader,
GeoSolutions has been presenting the latest version of MapStore at 2024 geOcom Conference. geOcom event is the place where geOrchestra community gathers annually and this year has been taking place at Lille, France, deom 17th to 19th of June.
geOrchestra is a free, modular and interoperable Spatial Data Infrastructure software born in 2009 to meet the requirements of the INSPIRE directive in Europe. geOcom event allows main players and newcomers to discover the geOrchestra community and its uses, issues in progress or to come, giving an opportunity to discover new platforms, current or future projects and build the roadmap for the upcoming releases.
We have held a presentation on MapStore, covering the integration with geOrchestra in detail and introducing the new features of the latest version, such as additional options in widget charts, the upgrade of Cesium support for a more performing 3D experience, as well as an introduction to the new features expected to be available in the next MapStore major release. A special thanks goes to Rennes Métropole, communauté d’agglomération du Puy-en-Velay, Région Hauts-de-France, Région Grand-Est and Centre Régional Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes de l’Information Géographique (CRAIG) who have allowed the integration of MapStore with geOrchestra from the beginning in 2019 by also funding many new features which have effectively contributed to the evolution of MapStore.
